But I think Gametap just had the Saturn games that had PC releases back in the day. I know that Panzer Dragoon Orta had the original Panzer Dragoon on-disc as an unlockable, but I thought that was the PC port as well.

I figured that this Nights HD remake was based on the PS2 version, but was the Saturn version included in that PS2 remake?

same here, and as superficial as it sounds, it's because I thought it looked so ugly. A lot of my hatred for OOT is aesthetic. Honestly, how do you go from something that looks as good as LTTP or Link's Awakening to OOT? That game is horrible looking, and I thought so then. Admittedly, Majora's Mask doesn't look much different, but at least the story is so interesting that it saves it. Ugh. Hate the look of most N64 games. Sorry y'all.
I really wish instead of moving to polygons so quickly everyone would have just stuck with pixels. Can you imagine how awesome it would have been for the 32 bit era to have just built on the foundation of the 16 bit era? Instead of just moving almost every game to new territory that was harder to develop and had less depth then most games did that came before IMHO. Looking back at a lot of games from the beginning of the 32 bit era it just seems like the devs just didn't really know what they were doing.

Yea yea OT so sue me.

If we didn't have ugly 3D in that era we would've ended up just having ugly 3D in the following generation. It had to happen, and it was inevitable the day Virtua Fighter hit arcades.

Yea I know a man can dream though...

I also meant instead of such a focus on polygons not just not doing polygons at all it's a moot point anyway I guess.

I am extra hyped for this release though hopefully it sells well and sega realizes people want more stuff like this.

I feel the same way about the 64 and most 32bit 3D games, and I did back then too.
There is not too many 3D games before the Dreamcast that impressed me. A couple that come to mind: the Jackie Chan game for PS1, FFVII & IX (pre-render backgrounds ftw), most racing games, and Nights.
Most 3D games of that generation were ruined by the distraction of poorly rendered 3D models. The 3D was too distracting to me and I felt 16bit graphics allowed more recognizable characters and items. Nights on the other hand, was the first game where the 3D models fit in seamlessly with the game.

I'm loving the 64 right now. I've been playing the heck out of Banjo & Kazooie, and so far it's taking place as my favorite 3D platformer (previously Super Mario 64). I also fired up Perfect Dark for the very first time and I'm thoroughly impressed by the clean graphics.

Watch out, Banjo-Tooie might end up becoming your newest favorite platformer once you play it. N64 has aged so well considering the era it comes from.

As much as I enjoy Tooie be warned: the framerate is quite bad.
