I love the original, not too sure about the HD remix. In all honesty, I have not bought a single DLC ever. I came very close with Radiant Silvergun but thankfully got me the original and didn't get the fake digital copy.

No. I totally get you. I'm a retail (hard copy) guy through and through. I usually pay the premium for physical copies and typically spend my Steam funds on exclusively digital goods.outlaw_moon wrote:I love the original, not too sure about the HD remix. Will buy it. Thanks to SEGA for making their old catalog available for PC. I wish the Mega Drive games weren't just poor emulations, but this is an upgraded version. I gladly pay for stuff like this. I hope they bring over more stuff. Burning Rangers HD, anyone?

Maybe 10 years from now we will have no choice s1mple... but for now I am trying very hard not to purchase any. It sucks that there are MANY games being re-released

Re: Nights HD announced
yeah an HD re-release warrants a digital purchase over a simple emulated hack-job, IMO.

The XBLA port has extra features not in the physical release. It's also much cheaper. In these cases I find it more snobby to prefer the physical release than it is logical really.
For $15 you can have an HD version of Radiant Silvergun with various display options, bonus "Ikaruga Mode," online co-op, and leaderboards. Or you can spend over $100 to not have any of these features.

I am with you on the extras, but that depends on how much you care for them. Just because a game gets a re-release with extras and HD graphics doesn't take away from the original in my book.noiseredux wrote:"fake digital copy"...?outlaw_moon wrote:I love the original, not too sure about the HD remix. I almost treat them as separate games, but if I don't have the original - the HD upgrade suffices as "adding to the collection" for me.outlaw_moon wrote:I am with you on the extras, but that depends on how much you care for them.
