Nights HD announced

This is some pretty cool news. I have a copy of the game burned for playing on my modded Saturn, but I might throw that out the window now. These enhanced ports have me more interested than the "emulator-on-a-disc" compilations. Right now I'm deciding whether I'm getting the PC/Steam version or the Xbox 360 version.

I meant the copy of the game. That modded Saturn is staying with me until the day it dies.

Sometimes I feel like the only one on the forum that thinks Nights is a poorly-controlling and uninteresting also-ran platformer. Great music, though.

I'll probably take a chance on this when it goes on sale to give it another shot, but I've just never understood the appeal of the original game...

Don't you generally dislike most platformers anyway? Seems like the game just simply isn't your style.

I quite enjoy the genre, actually. A quick look at my "Games Beaten" thread suggests I've finished 17 platformers across 2010-2011, so I think I'm a qualified judge...

I'm with you there actually. I was super disappointed by the game. I normally consider platformers one of favorite genres, too.

Great, SEGA. Why don't you just go and make HD remakes of your entire published libraries for the Saturn and Dreamcast while you're at it.

Personally I have always viewed it as a racing platformer, like Pandemonium. Which, while I applaud the genius of the style, Ive never really enjoyed.
