Tournament play speed for both versions is set at 2 star speed than the default 3 stars. It makes the game a tad slower than the arcade version, but nevertheless the closest speed setting to that of the arcade version!
That's really interesting information! I'm lucky enough to own a NAOMI, but I had never known about the speed difference for the home ports.

Need FreeMCboot? I'll install it on your PS2 Memory Card for free if you cover postage both ways.
Consoles: I have too much stuff
Arcade: No seriously, I have too much stuff. Someone grab a shovel and dig me out of my basement.

Yup. A few DC ports of Naomi fighters run at a slightly faster pace. The average person may not notice the difference, but to the hardcore player or even intermediate who plays it considerably in the arcade will def feel a difference. Luckily unlike other Naomi ports like MVC2 and Power Stone 2, CVS2 has a speed setting option to tune the gamespeed to as close to arcade as possible.

Gamecube and then get a SNES > Cube adapter.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Get the DC version, it has 480p support.
PS2 is 480i only and cannot be forced to 480p.

More often than not, I see it for even cheaper on ebay sometimes!

While on the subject. ReviveDC Project just the other day rolled out their 100th RDC release special.

Capcom Vs SNK Millennium Collection

You can see my review for the game real soon on their blogspot. Also please check out my other reviews for previous RDC releases while you're there. Thanks everyone!

I have never fully understood what ReviveDC is. I mean, sometimes I know the releases are like remixed versions of games, and have like extra content on them, so I get that whole thing. But I lot of times they just appear to be rips of ISO's with nothing changed. So in those cases, what exactly is the point? What makes it a "ReviveDC release" rather than just y'know... an ISO rip? Am I missing something?

I think one of their other goals is to re-release games that might have had crummy scene releases in the past (including "features" like annoying intros/game breaking cracks/awful compression). Similar to the DCRES releases, I believe.

yeah. I mean I get things like the Neo ports, or bleemed discs even, translations, new music, etc etc. But when things like Donald Duck Going Quackers or any other standard US game is a release I'm like "uh... why?"

Yeah, probably not all that interesting to most people, but it does sound like they have their reasons (quoted from the Donald Duck release):
Ok this was never ripped from the NTSC-U source so here we are filling a gap in the matrix. Agin Noting has been ripped or downsampled. We applied a custom sorttxt to keep the audio from lagging in the SFD files due to the high bitrate. Like it or not we are here to stay bringing you more stuff for our beloved little boxes from Sega. I did however remove all the left over tracks from the PAL release as the multi audio was useless. I have hacked the 1ST_READ so that no matter what your BIOS is on the game will still play just fine without any crashes, it will just be played in English. After all this is a copy of the NTSC-U version of the game. Want Mulit-5 go for the PAL version.
