Well played. I dare anyone who has watched Children of the Corm to not scream out "Outlaaaaander" after seeing that pic.

But still, "Chappa Cha! Ahh-ha!" are some well written lyrics.

Trailers up for Easy Money and Alex Cross. Easy Money is a popular Swedish novel turned movie a la Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Not the best trailer, but it could be interesting. Alex Cross looks terrible IMO, but I'm not a huge Tyler Perry fan so there's that.

Easy Money:

That second Mad Dog fight was a fucking revelation. My only issue was that the whole film was all very brown.

Brian Henson's Happytime Murders is a movie aiming right at my heart.

Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter 7/10
Fun little outlandish movie. Wish they had played up the comedic potential a bit more, but still fun time.

Abraham Lincoln vs Zombies 6/10
The Asylum did a good job with this one. Loved how they added in all the historical figures, particularly Teddy Rosevelt. Id argue the guy playing Lincoln in this one was a bit better.

The original Piranha. I've had very little time to watch movies since I'm working two jobs (combined at roughly 80 hours/week), but God knows I've been splurging on Amazon like crazy. Bought a bunch of other Roger Corman Classics DVDs (Slumber Party Massacre Collection, Galaxy of Terror, Forbidden World, Death Race 2000, and the Sword & Sorcery Collection; the S&SC has Deathstalker 1-2, Barbarian Queen and The Warrior and the Sorceress), the Zeiram Duology DVD (with both Zeiram live-action movies), Battle Royale (accidentally bought the one with no special features, so I gotta upgrade), Desperate Living (which I watched a few weeks ago), The Crow, Heavy Metal, The City of the Living Dead, and upgrade my copies of Nightmare on Elm Street and The Toxic Avenger to their best R1 DVD releases.

Also recently watched Midnight Cowboy and the new Hellraiser movie that everyone hates.

I was wondering when you would post again in this thread.

Man, this movie kicked ass. Miles ahead of any wire-fu martial arts movie. I do think it's always a bit disrespectful when they take such great creative liberties with real-world source material, but they gotta sell tickets somehow and on the whole it definitely made the movie better.

+1.

For the longest time, Jet Li's Fist of Legend was the 'bar' for Martial Arts films, for me. After watching Ip Man, the bar has been raised. Considerably. I <3 Donnie Yen.
Watch Ip Man 2, I wouldn't say I liked it more in terms of story. However, it's still very good and has some more impressive action sequences. Plus, Sammo Hung is in it

In terms of just pure combat and stunts though, nothing I've seen recently impresses me as much as Chocolate

and while it's not exactly a martial arts film in the traditional sense, The Man from Nowhere is excellent. The fights are more in line with something like Oldboy, violent, bloody, with bladed weapons factoring heavily. It is a South Korean movie after all. There's some fantastic casting choices in this move and some great acting as well.

Just watched Cool World. (for the first time)

What. the. fuck.

"Hey lets film a scene, and then when we send it to post, have some random animation studio just add in whatever they god damn feel like at any time even if it doesn't make sense or help the scene in any way."

HERP DERP! SOUNDS GOOD MR. BAKSHI! HERP DERP!

What an awful, awful movie.

The Phantom (1996)

Oh my gosh, I can't believe I watched that movie when I was 12 years old, and enjoyed it. What a steaming pile of cheesy garbage. Good thing I only paid $1 for it at Goodwill.
