Well played. I dare anyone who has watched Children of the Corm to not scream out "Outlaaaaander" after seeing that pic.dsheinem wrote:You are wrong:Luke wrote: The only thing memorable about Children of the Corn is the ongoing children's chant of "Chappa Cha! Ahhhh-Ha!"
That second Mad Dog fight was a fucking revelation. My only issue was that the whole film was all very brown.Luke wrote:It is my favorite film of the year. It executes everything perfectly. I also believe that every movie here on out should have a minimum of at least one Mad Dog. Waiting for the domestic release on blu-ray has me chomping at the bit.
I was wondering when you would post again in this thread.REPO Man wrote:The original Piranha. I've had very little time to watch movies since I'm working two jobs (combined at roughly 80 hours/week), but God knows I've been splurging on Amazon like crazy. Bought a bunch of other Roger Corman Classics DVDs (Slumber Party Massacre Collection, Galaxy of Terror, Forbidden World, Death Race 2000, and the Sword & Sorcery Collection; the S&SC has Deathstalker 1-2, Barbarian Queen and The Warrior and the Sorceress), the Zeiram Duology DVD (with both Zeiram live-action movies), Battle Royale (accidentally bought the one with no special features, so I gotta upgrade), Desperate Living (which I watched a few weeks ago), The Crow, Heavy Metal, The City of the Living Dead, and upgrade my copies of Nightmare on Elm Street and The Toxic Avenger to their best R1 DVD releases.
Also recently watched Midnight Cowboy and the new Hellraiser movie that everyone hates.

Watch Ip Man 2, I wouldn't say I liked it more in terms of story. However, it's still very good and has some more impressive action sequences. Plus, Sammo Hung is in itindecks wrote:sabrage wrote:
Man, this movie kicked ass. Miles ahead of any wire-fu martial arts movie. I do think it's always a bit disrespectful when they take such great creative liberties with real-world source material, but they gotta sell tickets somehow and on the whole it definitely made the movie better.
+1.
For the longest time, Jet Li's Fist of Legend was the 'bar' for Martial Arts films, for me. After watching Ip Man, the bar has been raised. Considerably. I <3 Donnie Yen.
