the best era of games was befor online gaming

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

It hasn't been that bad. I'll admit that the creativity has gone down in the past two generations, but there's still a lot of good games from the last generation and more coming down the pipe (I[m looking at you, Spore).

I'm certainly not a modern-gaming fanboy, and I can tell you that that's simply untrue. There are piles and piles of treasure in every era of gaming.

I cut my teeth on a Colecovision at the age of four, and I have to say that I've probably enjoyed gaming more in the last two generations than I have my entire time with the hobby. There are just as many garbage games, if not more, on the 8-bit and 16-bit systems of old.

Whether or not modern gaming appeals to you, it's silly to say that the quality has dropped over the years. That's "old man" syndrome for ya.

I don't know about that. My favorite multiplayer game is a mod released a decade ago...I wouldn't call myself a "next-gen fanboy".

Damn, that was my first guess (I heart TF as well), but then I thought, "Nah, Counter-Strike is more popular."
