What was the last movie you've seen?

Batman (1989) - This movie is STILL fan-freaking-tastic. One of the coolest on-screen Batman stories ever told. The visuals are fantastic, the soundtrack is amazing, great gritty "Batman" feel to it, the acting is spot-on, and Jack Nicholson stole the movie as The Joker. I'm gonna watch Batman Returns today as an encore!
So I rewatched Batman Returns, and now it's all these years later and I'm an adult and I'm STILL not impressed by it. It does have cool looking visuals, a good soundtrack, and good actors. But the story and characters I just can't get into. Penguin and Catwoman come off as weak villains to me. It seems like Batman should have been able to wipe the floor with both of them the first time he met them and be done with it. And The Penguin is just gross in this movie. Also, there wasn't enough about Batman/Bruce Wayne himself in the movie. The first Batman (1989) easily blows it away. But it would be hard to follow up such a masterpiece.

I REALLY like Batman Begins, too. I really can't choose one over the other. And like Luke said, they're very different. The Dark Knight was fan-freaking-tastic as well, but I think I'm one of the few that actually enjoyed Batman Begins and Batman (1989) more than The Dark Knight.

It did have Christopher Walken and midgets in penguin suits.

Oh, and face biting.

But I agree, a shallow sequel that led to great video games.

Prometheus

Let me just say Ridley Scott's prime has long passed. Prometheus was my first 3D movie, so at least there's that.

Why would you say that? Specifics.

I often feel kinda bad because I really don't care for Batman '89. I mean, I respect what it did for the character and I'm very glad it was made considering it lead to the awesome animated series, but I just don't care for the movie itself.

I can at least say that it's a much better film than Returns though, Returns has atmosphere and absolutely nothing else.

I don't like '89 or Returns either. But like you say, it led to something awesome.

Meh, clearly, he is wrong. Body of Lies wasn't that long ago and was excellent.

Quick ? for you guys and gals:

Any spoilers from trailers that really, really disappoint your movie experience? Example:
When the Hulk caught Iron Man in the Avengers, the moment was almost ruined for me. I knew what was going to happen, as well as half the audience, which should have been a jaw dropping moment as the Hulk's story arc and character development pretty much end. A great moment spoiled by a trailer. There are also what I believe to be pivotal moments spoiled in the new Rises spot. Any other examples that come to mind?

I can't think of specific examples right this moment, but there have been numerous trailers in recent years that give way too much away for suspenseful movies. Likewise there have been lots of funny movies that blow their funniest jokes in the trailers too. Actually I take that back, I stopped watching all the Prometheus videos being released because I felt like there wasn't going to be any more movie left to watch.

Rises is apparently a 2 hour and 45 minute long movie, I doubt they've actually spoiled much from it.
