Nintendo: Project Cafe - Wii U
Re: Nintendo: Project Cafe - Wii U
I will buying the Wii U as soon as I see a game or two that interests me. Doesn't even matter what the hardware or social features are. Haha.

Re: Nintendo: Project Cafe - Wii U
I just finished the Nintendo Pre-Show. The hardware is impressing me so far. But so far it's just a teaser, I'm sure we'll see more on the actual games and how the hardware interacts with them.
From the way this is shaping up, it's like Nintendo is putting all there last few console experiences into one experience (Gamecube, Wii, DS). Some of you are probably scratching your heads on the Gamecube one, I'm kind of reaching on that one. I meant the extra graphical power that was mentioned, since in the generation Gamecube was a part of it was ahead of the curve in the graphical department.

Yeah, but the Wii U will only be ahead graphically for a second. PC's, Sony's and MS's next systems will probably blow it away in that department when they drop.

Probably (Well PC definitely. Any mid-range PC currently out already blows it out of the water). However it certainly wont be the ass-handing that was the 360/PS3 vs the original Wii.
Weaker hardware also doesn't necessarily mean less sales though. The PS2 was only maybe slightly more powerful than the Dreamcast (and only in certain areas) and it sold multitudes more units than both the Xbox and the GameCube combined.
I'm honestly rooting for Nintendo this time around. It looks like they've learned from the Wii and really want to become top dog again.

Probably but supposedly it won't be so far behind as MS + Sony aren't going for broke, supposedly. That and, I still have this little glimmer of hope(??) that MS + Sony are making a system together; Sony for design, MS for OS.
No matter what, I'm getting the Wii U as N's games are going to be on it and I likey me some Ninty games.

Am I the only one paranoid about having a Nintendo camera connected to the internet in my house? Any chance someone could gain access to the network and peep on you?
Yeah I know once they unveil the Mario game I'll start to really want it.
(Can't wait to see what the homebrew scene will do with Wii U
)
I'm not big into portables and have no real interest in the 3DS, but goddamn I want one just to play Super Mario 3D Land

You can always tape something over it if you're worried.

I can't tell if you're joking, but I agree.

What do you guys think of the WiiU "hardcore" pad? Since it looks to be influenced by the 360 pad, it should feel awesome in your hands. I'm only bothered by the right analog's strange placement.
