Am I the only one who thinks the positioning of that second control stick is kind of strange? I mean it's awesome for FPS games, but what about 3rd person sandbox games where the face buttons are more important?

It looks like a cross between the playstation and X-box controllers. me gusta.

Nah I like the controller. It is just a flipped Playstation controller and that is something I like since I feel more comfortable for longer play times with my thumbs relaxed and up and not angled down.

The social aspects of the WiiU seems awesome!

I like the controller a lot! But I think the joysticks so close to the triggers are gonna cause some problems, especially with FPS.

I think it looks great for FPS, as well as everything else. Long gaming sessions have always been brutal having to stretch your thumb out to rest it on the right analog, so the new placement looks really comfortable.

<sigh> I wish we as a society could move past this whole "social media" thing and get back to our solitary existances.

I'm excited because it looks as though Nintendo is genuinely planning on meeting the demands of both the casual + hardcore markets by integrating former ideas with much more flair and thought than they had previously, as well as applying what their competition has been doing right for the past few years. Plus, it appears there will be a black launch model.

As someone who thought the Wii was an excellent platform, I couldn't be more stoked for this.

That controller is real? Looks a lot an Xbox 360 controller except with right stick and buttons reversed.

The new CCP looks great. I'm a little irked they didn't have a stick placement ala Gamecube though. Unless there's some kind of problem with patents or something, I don't see the reason that they coudn't.

Ehh, madcatz or somebody will make one with a 360/Gamecube layout syle. Or something.

Yes, it was shown in their pre-E3 video.

Big thing I like - unlike the Classic Controller or Classic Controller Pro for the Wii, it looks to be stand-alone (you can see the little LEDs for which controller it is/etc on the bottom).

Not particularly enthused about the "social" stuff - doesn't seem to be as subtle as the similar elements Demon's Souls/etc implemented, and could be annoying or intrusive.
