Life's too short to worry about getting old. I'm 35 and will always be a kid at heart. I enjoy reminiscing my past, (i.e. retro gaming! ) but I look forward to the future and creating new memories. I think Luke and JT pretty much summed it up though imo.

I knew I was an old man when I heard some Skrillex track and said "this is just noise and it's too loud." I recoiled in horror at my own statement. "Oh my God call 911 now" is right.

Haha, oh man. I had a similar situation the other day. I was in REI at the checkout counter. The clerk made a comment about my NIN shirt and we talked briefly about the NIN-JA tour. I casually said, "yeah, they were exceptionally loud that night." I realized what I had said almost immediately. I looked over to see my wife wide eyed and grinning and I knew I would never hear the end of it.

Yes, saying only rich kids can get into gifted schools is a stupid argument.

It's pretty interesting though that at five years old and in kindergarten you already couldn't
"engage in meaningful conversations". You should have gone to a gifted school for sursies.

Saying that Malcom in the middle-style gifted schools/classes exist globally is a stupid argument.

I never said anything about Malcolm in the Middle, but I will now. That kid owns hundreds of cars and dated Lindsay Lohan in her prime.

I never argued anything, nor have I received an A in any argumentation class (which I think you made up).

Your last sentence is puzzling as I assume it is an insult, but for all I know you love Fox News. I'd say if it was meant to be a sarcastic jab, you are very well on your path to being a writer for a Fox News anchor.

Luke must already be an old man with many regrets. People who say "live in the present" or "always look on bright side of life" have to say things like that because things aren't going well. There is nothing wrong with dreading the future, it's a great way to prepare and accept it. Also thinking about how your were when you were younger is a great way to grow and understand your present life. There is nothing wrong with reminiscing the past or worrying about the future, just don't let it become such a focus that you aren't living in the present anymore.
