Problem playing dragon warrior 2,3,4 on nes ?

i might have to open up the game and clean it really good but i have to get a darn game bits to open it .

If you don't have gamebits, then you aren't ready to be repairing stuff.

I don't know . But i do know this it didn't do that much when i play it as a kid .

When you say "flash" do you mean they just blink on and off the screen? Or are they appearing white/garbled? If it's the former, I'd wager it's just normal flicker and your memory might not be exact. It's hard to tell just based on your written description.

Assuming you're playing the American games on an American TV/setup, have you tried using an American NES? Does it still happen?
But I doubt it's anything to really be concerned about. The NES is hardly a graphical powerhouse anyway.
