From the local flea market yesterday:

Donkey Kong Country 2
Flashback - SNES
Some SNES Power Rangers game for the kid - pretty funny actually because the female characters use the same sprites as the males when in costume, so you can be a Super Amazonian Power Ranger. Other than that, an unremarkable beat-em up.
Re-Volt - N64
Rayman 2 - N64

$20 total. Not terribly impressive, but I'm quite happy with DKC2 and Rayman 2. Still waiting to find that super cheap Earthbound cartridge. :P

Not bad at all. I'd have been happy with those purchases.

I nearly came up empty today but walked out of Goodwill with Baldur's Gate (5 discs, PC) for $2.25.

Baldur's Gate? Nice. I've wasted many hours playing that game. Never beat it though. I think I enjoyed the character creation most, so I would always start from the beginning with a new character. For the simpletons and impatient types like me, I've found that fighter class works best.

I recently eBayed the Planescape: Torment I found at Goodwill for $5 and sold it on the day I posted it for $60 - discs only. (I already had a CIB copy.) So all the game hunting I've been doing is now justified (in my old lady's eyes, at least). :D

I'm on a roll, fellas! $15.21 at Goodwill snagged me this:

I referred to the controllers in another thread and am thrilled to have them. I didn't need the system but since I have some extra regular controllers and an extra power supply, I'll try to turn it around and bundle it with my game doubles. Everything is in excellent condition too.

The games:

Earthworm Jim
Earthworm Jim 2
X-Men
Sonic 2
Lion King

xraydash. The system and controllers look really nice. Did you clean them up after purchasing them, or did you find them that clean?

In any case nice finds.

Thanks! No, didn't clean any of it up at all. There was just a little bit of dust. I love when people take care of their things! (And donate it to thrift stores so I can buy it.)

As a bonus, this time the workers taped it all together with masking tape instead of packing tape. Came off easily without leaving a layer of sticky goo or removing/tearing labels, etc. Packing tape is just evil. I literally spent over two hours the other evening trying to clean up an NES and controllers that had been carelessly wrapped up in it. My wife buys a lot of fabric and it even ruins that. Hopefully this is their new way of doing things and they didn't just run out of the other stuff.

Say, pompey, I've checked out your ebay store and have been meaning to ask you where you find all the stuff you sell. What are your sources, if you don't mind me asking?
