Super Burnout is AWESOME.. recently went back to play it for the Atari High Score club on Atari Age.. what a blast the game still is.. runs smooth as silk because the developers were smart enough to use awesome scaling sprites instead of shitty low polys. Cool music, and tracks.. although the game doesn't really have a lot of depth as far as a 1 player mode / season, it's still fun and multiplayer is nice.

Atari Karts is cool, but you're not gonna be able to find that for a decent price these days.

For the curious, I decided to go with Iron Soldier. I found it for a good price and it just seems like a game that a Jag owner should have.

As for Super Burnout, I'll keep an eye out for a deal. I even bid on a couple on ebay, but when it comes right down to it, racing games generally aren't worth as much to me.

Still thinking about getting Cannon Fodder or Ruiner Pinball, but funds are pretty limited right now.

Theme Park is probably the best game on the console but its lacking in music.

So, do you know if Theme Park especially more enjoyable on Jaguar than any other ports?

Actually, I might even want that on Genesis or SNES instead. Sometimes I just find humble ports more interesting.

:?

OK game, but may as well just find it cheaper if you can. Game doesn't save your progress only the money, so you have to rebuild everything. Not sure if all ports do this or not though, I can't remember as it's been 15 years since i've played any of them probably.

Also if you're looking for a weird but unique game for the Jag that is actually fun once you learn the game, try and find Attack of the Mutant Penguins. Guaranteed you won't find this game anywhere else :)

I have that one, although it's buried in a box at the moment.
I though it was pretty clever, from what little I played of it.
I just wonder why videogamecritic hates it so much.

Anyways,
Just got Ruiner Pinball in the mail. I've been wanting that for a while and I really enjoy unique video pinball games (especially tables with dark and fantasy themes).

Still waiting for Iron Soldier. Once it gets here, Cybermorph will be the only Jaguar game that I lack from my memory of the system in the 90's (does that make sense?, I'm building a collection to match my nostalgia...plus a few others).

I still want Power Drive Rally, Super Burnout, and Cannon Fodder, but those may have to wait until I have more disposable funds; I'm pretty cleaned out right now.

That makes perfect sense - its how/why I collected alot of my NES games.

For the Jaguar, the only game I see not mentioned is Flipout. It was my first game on the system and everyone I get to play it agrees it is a unique title. Its a 3d puzzle game of tile flipping:

It goes for $10ish on Ebay

And here I assumed Flipout was just another Breakout clone.

It does look interesting, but somehow I think the game would end up ticking me off. It just seems like it would get difficult and confusing past the first few levels.

Well, I finally got Super Burnout, and I like it a lot so far; it plays pretty smooth.
...makes me wonder how other motorcycle racing games are for other systems (besides the Road Rash games, which I already know that I like).

So that brings my Jag-collection total to 16 titles.
I might try for an even 20, so that's 4 more to go. But I'm not in a hurry or anything. In the past month, I've acquired 4 games for it, so that ought to hold me over for a while.

Still debating Cannon Fodder though. Anyone recommend it significantly over the PC version or even the 16-bit versions (none of which I've played yet). I have the game on Game Boy Color, but apparently it's been dumbed-down quite a bit.
