Just kinda curious why you used my statement in your quote. I think you misread my meaning, I wasn't trying to covey the incestual stereotype sometimes associated with southerners, I would have said the same thing no matter what the state was.

Basically a lot of people consider incest morally wrong, just like homosexuality. What I am saying is for all of those vehemently against the amendment passing would they also be this up in arms if this was one against incest marriages, of which only cousin marriages are considered legal in some states, and which would also be two consenting adults. I personally do believe that if homosexual marriages become legal so should incest. Who am I to say what is and isn't there rights between too consenting adults and which consequences won't affect me. By the way North Carolina is one of the states where cousin marriages are legal.

I just thought markeconrad was making light of people's moral concerns with his slippery slope comment. Nothing aimed at you pephary.

If people vote, I can't see gay marriage becoming legal in a long, long time. There are too many bigots and the voting makes it socially acceptable to put down gay people because it because a matter of opinion, so as to speak.

No referendum is made without knowing the result beforehand either.

I'm pretty sure most states would be about the same. There really isn't a point to getting a degree if you live in the middle of nowhere as well.
