Here's nteresting article revolving around what I said earlier. Will MGS4 truly stay exclusive to PS3 now that we've seen a game like FFXIII go multi-platform?
Also, a quote straight from the president of Square-Enix's mouth:
"The Wii is the antithesis of the Xbox 360. It's strictly for hardcore gamers. The attachment rate for the Xbox 360 is much higher than for the Wii. People who buy the 360 really like games... I think the current trend is that most people aren't buying the Wii as a game machine, but as a toy... It seems that Sony isn't sure what it wants to do. Is it making high-end electronics or a game console for gamers? I want them to clearly define their console."
Yeah, I think there's a pretty damn good chance 360 will get FF Versus XIII.

That quote just about nails it. There aren't enough studios out there with enough confidence to stay exclusive. Sony has cleaned up their act since they launched, but it's too late for them to catch up, at least that's what
I think.
Oh, and I love the 360 controller. It's my favorite, followed by Dreamcast and then by the Xbox controller S.
Ryan, why only buy exclusives? What about games like Oblivion and Guitar Hero? If you're that dedicated to the PS3 you're going to miss about 90% of this generation's good games.

no necesarily true. I can barrow from friends w/ ease, and most of them own all the multiplatform games i would want to play anyway. Ive beaten Oblivion on PC many times, and neither Guitar Hero or Rockband interest me.

Not buying multi-platform releases for the PS3 is actually having a negative effect on your "cause". If you hold the PS3 in as high regard as you say you do, then only buying exclusives makes developers feel like they can't make money on the system and you'll end up with far more 360-only titles that would of been multi-platform. Why not just play the games that seem fun to you, instead of whether or not they are exclusive to only PS3?

hence why i buy old games instead of new 98% of time. My Saturn is what i play about 80% of the time while the PS3 and NES get 10% respectivly.

You do realise buying used hurts the industry. Arguably as much as piracy.
When games stores sell pre-owned titles 0 money goes back to the developer. Could you imagine how terrible it would be for the industry if everyone bought games second hand. No money goes to the developer after the initial sale. My friend works in Gamestation, he tried to prove his point by using a permanent marker on the case of a random game to see how many times it went through the store. Within 2 months that game had been in stock and out of stock 5 times. Everytime selling at twice the price of trade-in. So for a £50 they probably initially sold, it came back they gave £15 for trade-in and then sold it for £30 pre-owned 5 times. So they made £75 on top of the £50 they initially sold it for. (i've rounded it down to make the maths easier, it wasn't that exact but you get the idea.). That's quite a profit margin there.
Suffice to say, since I learnt about this I don't buy second hand unless the console is obsolete, or the game is out of print.
So if you refuse to buy 3rd party, yet only buy your Sony exclusive titles second hand you're actually hurting your 'beloved' Sony in the long run. They won't see any money from the software, and you have technically, a 0 software attachment console. Which is even worse as Sony loses money on every PS3 they sell (is this still the case or are they breaking even yet?).

I'm glad someone else feels the same way as me. I never buy used games unless I absolutely can't find a new copy anywhere. People wonder why Gamestop pushes trade-ins and pre-owned sales so much, and it's because it is all profit for them.

I dont buy games used unless they are old, thats why i said i buy old games, never did i say i bought new games used if that makes sense to you.

I also want to clarify that both the 360 and PS3 versions will be available in the US on the same date. The Japanese get it first of course, but there is no timed exclusivity in the US. The "starting 360 version after" is misleading...
