But I know Bone knows his JRPGS, and I haven't played very far in most of those, so maybe he is srs?

DQVIII and Radiata Stories aside, that entire list looks like a troll

Well Xenosaga Episode II is kind of an "honorable mention". I've only played a little bit so far and it seemed okay... hopefully it doesn't get bad later on.dunpeal2064 wrote:DQVIII and Radiata Stories aside, that entire list looks like a troll

Everything else I listed is a solid JRPG! DQVIII is probs my fave game on the console!
Re: Best year for Playstation2
Xenosaga II only gets better if you ask me. Still the weakest game in the trilogy, but it's rather short and still good to me. Xenosaga III is where it's at though, I haven't played many PS2 JRPG's (I want to remedy that now that the PS2 finally seems to be resting for the most part, lol), but it's probably my favorite next to Suikoden V and in someways Xenosaga III is better than Xenogears to me, and vice versa.
Re: Best year for Playstation2
Yea Xenosaga III is pretty awesome. Xeno II was just annoying to play because of the overly complex/tedious battle system. I Liked Xeno II better than gears because I felt that the characters were better developed as a whole. The entire cast of Xenosaga felt important even side characters like Allen and Miyuki felt like they played a major part in the story. Unfortunately, the same can't be said about Xenogears.Xeogred wrote:Xenosaga II only gets better if you ask me. Still the weakest game in the trilogy, but it's rather short and still good to me. Hands down-2001 and '04 will and always PS2's best years simply because of its game alone and this years bring back my fond gaming memories when I was a kid.
