What year during Playstation2's life do you think had the best games? Its safe to say the PS2 is dead, I don't think there are any new releases coming out. For me, it would be very early on, 2001. The amount of quality games that came out in 2001 was amazing:

Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty
Devil May Cry
Silent Hill 2

Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy

2001 agreed, Battle Gear 2 came out that year

I would say 2001 easily with Final Fantasy X and 2004 very close behind with an equally impressive lineup.
