I made it clear that I don't want RyaN banned. He hasn't done anything wrong. I'm sorry if things got a bit heated but it really gets to me when somebody just starts farting out things that aren't true. I HATE lying, and people who lie. IT really really gets to me.
If anyone should be banned it's myself for derailing yet another topic with my rants and raves because I get passionate about the things I love.
Sorry.
Holy crap! MS and Square-Enix just dropped the MEGATON!
Banning is pointless, except for spammers. I think I speak for everyone when I say it will take much more than childish fanboy flame wars to constitute a ban, because these still exist within the realm of discussion. You're still throwing opinions into the pot, however awkwardly. You're still contributing SOMETHING to the place. Of course, people appreciate when you refrain from flaming, or you learn how to flame or troll with a certain degree of skill, and make it worth reading, if only for entertainment. Ryan is no doubt making an ass of himself around here, but he's entitled to, I suppose.
Anyways, Racket is the only one who can ban, in the end.
As for this discussion, I've said what I think about multi-platform announcements already: More people having access to more games is never a bad thing. Honor and loyalty do not exist in this, or any business really. No one in their right mind would abstain from buying what they want, just because other people are allowed to buy it as well. This announcement will have zero negative impacts on sales.
But what do I know? I don't own a 360 or PS3. I've spent most of my life 1 console generation behind, mostly because I can't tolerate this fucking childish "console war" year after year. If I was into that shit, I'd be a football fan.

In the end I guess it doesnt really matter though, who knows, if Sony keeps taking blows like this and ends up dying in the video game industry mabe SEGA will pop in again; although I highly doubt Sony is going to back out of the console races as they have plenty of money from their PC, TV, and other electronic goods to sustain a foothold, even if they keep slipping.
Older. Not wiser.
That's about the worst argument ever, bested only by "you're not old enough to post on a game forum".nightwalker wrote:I think you should just shut up. And take an example from the aprentice and start growin up.
Nothing ends a flame war like quite like emo dramawhoring. It's a shame no one understands you and that you're all alone.Niode wrote:If anyone should be banned it's myself for derailing yet another topic with my rants and raves because I get passionate about the things I love.
It originally stemmed from a GAF post that was fairly funny on its own, but once Fragmaster did a video that expanded on it, it descended into the realm of fucking hilarity. It's even better when people completely miss the joke and take it for real. Awesomeness extreme.Lodestar wrote:
Hah, good call on whoever typed out what this guy said word for word. That was good.

Who knows, who knows, this might happen, but it would never happen because of this.
How did you manage to stretch this into Sony's demise and the reemergence of SEGA? That's hilarious, man.
I disagree: RyaN is fucking hilarious. I don't think it's intentional but his arguments are so flawed and stupid I can't help but laugh. I think at some point he'll realize he has the amazing ability to make arguments so stupid he would have been better off saying "NO U".Mozgus wrote:Banning is pointless, except for spammers. And yeah, unless Japan is entirely different business-wise, it's a cut-throat industry. Maybe Square got tired of Sony and decided to make their already up-hill battle harder, but it won't affect sales in any big way.
In any case, I'm happy this happened, not (only) because it'll hurt the PS3, but because if this kind of thing keeps on happens with a few more big exclusives, they're royally screwed if they don't change how they do things. The "We hav suprcomputr console, we are betters" approach isn't going to keep them afloat forever. It's not like Sony ate my parents and I'm hell-bent on destroying them, I just hate how they do business.

Microsoft did it, why not another company (although Microsoft has WAY to much money). All I said was that it could happen, not that it was remotly likely. It also seems when I think out my comments I still get this crap. W/e i refuse to post on this thread anymore its just gotten way out of hand.Lodestar wrote:RyaNtheSlayA wrote:In the end I guess it doesnt really matter though, who knows, if Sony keeps taking blows like this and ends up dying in the video game industry mabe SEGA will pop in again; although I highly doubt Sony is going to back out of the console races as they have plenty of money from their PC, TV, and other electronic goods to sustain a foothold, even if they keep slipping.

I don't understand why people take this stuff so personally. Are there really that many Sony and Microsoft employees and investors hanging out on these boards? It's pretty twisted to root for a particular multi-billion dollar corporation out of sentiment.HoboJoe wrote:But you enjoy how Microsoft does business? Oh that's right I forgot how MS was the perfect company that treats everyone fairly and doesn't rip anyone off.
It makes perfect sense for S-E to try to get their product out to as many people as possible and the 360 has a very large install base in the US. Everyone (i.e. gamers) "wins" if a game is available on more than one platform. Buy the game on your system of choice and enjoy!
