I like horror, but more than anything I want to see it just because I'm a Joss Whedon fan. Between this and The Avengers, this is a critical year in his career. His last movie (Serenity) was a financial failure, but I hope these two will make Hollywood give him more opportunities, especially given how TV land keeps giving him the shaft.noiseredux wrote:

I promised Luke a full review when I got home. But I can't do that guys. Saying anything about this movie would be a spoiler. So let me just say this. It is mind-blowingly brilliant. Anyone who considers themselves to be horror movie fans needs to see this post-haste. Wow.
So between his successful comics (X-Men, Fray, Buffy, and others), a successful web series (Dr. Horrible), great TV (Buffy, Angel, Firefly, Dollhouse) and good movies (Serenity, Cabin in the Woods, The Avengers), an awesome musical (Once More with Feeling AND Dr. Horrible) is anyone else truly amazed by how multi-talented this man is?
He's something of a role model in my eyes, but I'm also insanely jealous of all that talent that he has. I haven't even mentioned all the other things he's been involved with (the Toy Story franchise, Roseanne, etc.). He's not perfect, hell I could point out some misfires of his(the Buffy series has had its fair share of bad ideas), but he hits a whole lot more than he misses, and even his failures are at least interesting.
