Do you have a link to the one you use? I can't seem to find it. For some reason I'm not having good luck with searches right now.

Yeah, that was the only link I was able to find for it. I don't see them on Amazon or eBay.

There's a ton on Amazon ranging from about $4 to $16. I'm always a little hesitant when they're that cheap, like it's too good to be true.

If no one has any other suggestions, I think I'm gonna take a gamble and buy the MayFlash adapter off eBay. With it, I can use my Saturn or NeoGeo PS2 controller. If it works on the PS3, fantastic. If it doesn't, that will be a shame, but at least I could still use it on the PC. So it wont be a complete waste.

Mayflash seems to be a reputable maker of adapters. I have a PS1/PS2 to Gamecube and a PS1/PS2 to Wil Classic Mayflash adapters and both work flawlessly. An added feature is the PS1 Arcade digital sticks also support analog controls thru the adapters.

I'm not sure of how many PS3 games support a wired PS2 adapted controller though, my son has some that work, others that did not. The PS1/PS2 to USB adapter used is a clear blue, I'll check the name brand tonight, pretty sure its also a Mayflash.

The DealExtreme controller/memory card adapters stopped working after a firmware update a while ago. The memory card part still works though, and the controller part works on PC.

From what I've read, MayFlash made a Saturn, PS, N64 adapter that works on the PS3. It was called Super Joy Box or Joy Box Plus, something like that, but definitely had "Joy Box" in it. They were blue. They stopped making them, and started making these...

But I haven't been able to find out if those newer ones work on the PS3.

Yes, I've read that after a certain firmware update that some controller adapters stopped working.

Joybox sounds familar, once I get home tonight, I'll confirm. My son runs the latest Firmware updates in the PS3 Slim and the adaptor still works, but only on some games. Something about USB PS2 wired support or analog functions in the games themselves?

Yep, the Pelican adapter is what you want. I have two and they work perfectly and have the PS button on the dongle. I use mine for DDR mats and my SF Anniversary sticks. Only trouble is they are hard to find and expensive last time I checke....
