I started on the same path as an RPG gamer and I'm really excited to play The Witcher 2. I have heard amazing reviews and great impressions from the PC version.J T wrote: I've also been a bit slow to warm on Western RPGs because I grew up on JRPGs, but the Witcher 2 has shot to the top of my all-time top 10 RPG list.

I don't think it matters too much. There are some allusions to earlier happenings from the first, but you won't feel too lost. I think there is a way to carry stuff over from an old save too. I only played a few hours of the first one, then got real excited for the sequel and started playing that without finishing the first. I like the sequel quite a bit more, though the first Witcher is also a fine game. I'll go back and play the first when I finish the sequel.fvgazi wrote:I've thought about getting this game for a while on PC. Does it matter if I play the first one ahead of time?
