Tales of Phantasia (GBA version)

I hear ya about the gamepads, I'm pretty picky about them myself. I only play SNES ROMs with an actual SNES controller (hooked to a USB adapter).

Tales of the Abyss is on the PS2, there was also a 3DS port released recently. Vesperia is on the Xbox 360, I need to pick it up myself.

Do you have a Wii? The sequel to Symphonia (Dawn of the New World) is on the Wii, and is also a quality game.

Sweet, I didn't know you could get an adapter for an snes controller. I might have to look into that.

I'll keep an eye out for Abyss too and pick it up if I can find it reasonable. Unfortunately the other games are out for now as I don't own any of the current gen consoles/handhelds

My SNES controller adapter is a Super SmartJoy. Works very well, just plug and play. There are a few other companies that make a similar product.

Tales of the Abyss is pretty easy to find, thankfully.

Haven't played it yet! Waiting on the price drop.

If all goes according to plan I'll get Vesperia, Graces f, and Tales of the World before year's end. So many Tales games!

Son of a...!!!! The 'special forces' mission you get sent on to gain control of the bridge when the war is starting is frustrating! It switched from random encounter to the enemies being on the screen. problem is the screen is full of them so you have to try and run around them, and you still can't make it half a dozen steps with out one catching you or running into one. The fricken chimera's can petrify you and cast it constantly. Screen after screen of this, ugh. I've been running from a bunch of battles because you are on an time limit (days pass instead of a countdown clock). Pain in the ass!

Tales of Vesperia and Abyss are amazing RPG's. Great characters, story, and an easy to learn battle system.

I'm currently almost finished with Tales of Graces f which I'm enjoying more than I expected. These games really draw you into the story and characters.
