I am very wrong? Those 2 seem similar to me. Fanboyism in video games usually goes: my console is so much better than yours. Or my favorite shooter is the best and all the others suck! That fits both of what we said there.

I'm happy as can be. But I still don't know why you added parts of a definition that isn't there. Saying "X is the best" does not at all entail holding the opinion that "Y therefore sucks". I think the SNES is the best console, but you'll never hear me say that the 7800, NES, Master System, Genesis, Game Boy, Game Gear, Saturn, Playstation, N64, Dreamcast, Playstation 2, GameCube, or Xbox sucks.

Then I wouldn't think you are acting like a 'fanboy' that's just your preference or favorite console. There you are just a fan. When I think of fanboys, I see those in forums who are saying the 360 is best and PS3 sucks or the other way around. Or MW3 is the best and BF3 sucks. As fanboyism refers to gaming, from my observations, that is normally how it plays out. I think that is part about lacking objectivity.

I would take it similarly if you said the snes is so much better than the genesis, it is better in every way. Maybe I am taking a more narrow approach to it or I was just focusing on that one aspect of fanboyism that related to the point I was trying to make and the parallel I was trying to connect.

I honestly believe that at this point, all this thread is doing is causing strife. I just think the whole thing is silly, we just need to stop with the ostracizing titles. That's the whole point of this, correct?
