Wanting a proper Pokemon RPG release on consoles isn't all that weird. It would be dead easy to translate the EXACT SAME GAME into 3D.

What I REALLY want is an RPG for Wii U that goes through all five (or six, if they're up to that point and this heavenly game still hasn't been made) generations and all of the regions. They could even make two versions and have people trade online for a complete pokedex (I'd call them Frankincense Version and Myrrh Version, but I think the number of people offended would outweigh the intended message that it's a holy Pokemon game). I'd even be okay with buying $50 DLC to get a new generation and region added.

I can always dream, right? But this is getting off topic since I'm straying from new NES games. My bad.

I couldn't care less about pokemon, but I'm really surprised there hasn't been a true pokemon game for consoles yet. The wii U might be perfect, you'd use the controller screen as the pokedex, and you'd use the wiimote to throw pokeballs and stuff.

I don't know if you've played any of the DS games, but they have the commands given with the touch screen, and all the top screen does is show the battle and HP. They could totally do that with the Wii U, and then I could see my pokemon battling on a 32 inch TV in 1080p!

That's close enough if you want the real thing as real as possible without there being an NES-specific cartridge.

Yeah, I've seen that, but it's WAY too expensive, and it's pretty much the same thing as a Super Game Boy except on an NES instead of an SNES.

Yeah, but that's what happens when you have to wire in a whole GB inside a NES cart, heh. Oh well. I wish it could be cheaper too.
