Just checked it out, looks awesome, but it'd not work very well on NES IMO, it could work if reworked some, but honestly you'd be better to start on your own NES game instead of trying to match something that doesn't follow the limitations/abuse those limitations of the NES hardware.

Most of the colors are pulled straight from the nes palette. It does break the onscreen color limitations often though. The resolution is higher, and most of the bosses would have to be done on a black background like megaman. Either way, a good portion of the work is done, but yeah, I know nothing about nes development so I wouldn't even touch it. I also doubt there's much $$$ to be made in that market, even if it would be cool to release an nes game.

I'd pay a small fortune to have Pokemon Red or Blue on an NES cartridge (I don't know anything about if the NES was strong enough handle it; it's just been my wishful thinking dream for years).

You could basically put Pokemon Red directly on the NES, it's hardware is a tad better than gameboys with the hacked in color, which an NES version could use colors for and everything. Believe it or not, there's some red chinese games out there, but they're not polished and not in english. But I have also thought about that to the point I have actually made my SRAM memory map and pokemon data tables, so...maybe one day.

Wanting a proper Pokemon RPG release on consoles isn't all that weird. It would be dead easy to translate the EXACT SAME GAME into 3D.
