The Genesis version is hard as heck, but then again, I've never been very good at 2D fighters. The music is incredible, though. It's worth it just for the soundtest.
I haven't played any of the other versions, so sorry to be of little help here.

Shouldve hit me up about 1/2 year ago.I got rid of that badboy for a mere 10-12 bucks, only paid $5 tho..You know how it is at least the hook up made it around.ElkinFencer10 wrote:Well, because of the collector value, I want the NES version, but I definitely want at least one of the two others.

I personally like both SNES and Genesis versions. SNES for the crisp control and look, and Gen. for challenge. Also, it has Casey Jones!

Doesn't that account for higher contrast that way?jay_red wrote:Gah, why do people still do white text against black backgrounds? I wanted to read that page, but could not stand it at all! I can hardly see the screen right now to type this!
And I may be biased for writing a FAQ on it, but the US SNES version is the best version out there. (The JP version added breakaway walls to the first boss stage and tweaked a few moves and sprites, but I still think the original was more balanced. The Genesis version is OK, a few steps above the NES version, which was a decent attempt given the limitations, but both had fundamental AI issues -- like defense.)
