What CONS are you going to this year?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Honestly the main reason I go every day is because I have the days off anyway (I have summers off) and it's not far from my parents' house and I can crash there. I remember every morning I showed up last year I was like "hell yeah I get to spend all day at an anime/gaming convention!" Then I left after like two hours.

I might hit up Anime Boston next year, I'd like to go once before I get "too old."
I hear you on the "too old" part. Seems like the average age of a con goer gets younger each year, and I get older. I may love me some anime lolis, but when it comes to real life lolis I "just say no".

Otakon is ways away from Maine, but it's in the summer. I vote that you go this summer. We'll find a way to get you there.
Haha. I hear ya on the lolis. Last year I saw some of my students at PortCon and it was kind of awkward.

And yeah Otakon looks cool but there's no way I could afford to fly out and get a hotel just for an anime convention, no matter how awesome it is. Anything that's not in Maine/NH/Mass is out for me.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to attend CGE this year like I have for the past 8 years, since it's fairly expensive to fly to Vegas. The Portland Retro Gaming Expo looks fairly attractive so I think I'll wind up going there instead this year.

I'm assuming you're referring to Midwest Gaming Classic in Milwaukee?

If anyone else is interested in going to this, let me know. I know a lot of very cool people that will be there and I'll have to introduce you guys to them.

Still trying to get the go-ahead on being there. As soon as I do I'm going to be in contact with a few people on trying to do something there.

If anyone's going back to the Gaylord, I'll see you there again.

Gods. I know I'm too old to still be working these things, but damn by addled brain.
My scheduling skills have died of dysentery; I hope to visit at least on a monthly basis.
Still, don't forget to tip your waitress.

[rise from your grave]

Midwest Gaming Classic is this weekend! I'll be deep in Turbo.

Wedoca will be helping out at the Triad Anime Convention game room, but it's gonna be a busy weekend with the auction on Saturday.

Animazement is still a-go.

I'm sure Rob would appeciate the females..as for me I gotta stay focused!

Excellent! I'll try and find you then. I think I'm going to wear my Star Worlds Arcade shirt if you see me, though I bet I won't be the only one. Look for the wiry kid in glasses in one of those shirts and that's me.

Just so everyone knows, PAX Prime badges are now on sale. Well, they were for like two hours and then the link went down. But I imagine they will be up soon, already got my badges!
