Haha. I hear ya on the lolis. Last year I saw some of my students at PortCon and it was kind of awkward.ZenErik wrote:I hear you on the "too old" part. Seems like the average age of a con goer gets younger each year, and I get older. I may love me some anime lolis, but when it comes to real life lolis I "just say no".BoneSnapDeez wrote:Haha I hear ya. There isn't much going on. Honestly the main reason I go every day is because I have the days off anyway (I have summers off) and it's not far from my parents' house and I can crash there. I remember every morning I showed up last year I was like "hell yeah I get to spend all day at an anime/gaming convention!" Then I left after like two hours.![]()
I might hit up Anime Boston next year, I'd like to go once before I get "too old."![]()
Otakon is ways away from Maine, but it's in the summer. I vote that you go this summer. We'll find a way to get you there.
And yeah Otakon looks cool but there's no way I could afford to fly out and get a hotel just for an anime convention, no matter how awesome it is. Anything that's not in Maine/NH/Mass is out for me.
