Is Battletoads fun?

It's awesome in its own right as a single player challenge but the fun factor multiplies tenfold when playing with a friends. I was playing the NES version with a friend via netplay and we would goof around, beat each other up on purpose, and do this glitch where you moon jump in the third level (only one toad getting in the cart so it doesn't start the auto-scrolling race). All laughs and good times. Your question needn't be asked.

Even though I'm a Genesis guy, the NES version is the best IMO and is more difficult than the Genesis version (fact).

It's so fun, I was able to enjoy it on my friend's jailbroken iPod on a touch screen.

I think the NES version has a faster framerate too. Something about the Genesis version felt completely off when I tried it once, I couldn't get into it.

Also if you guys haven't check out Battletoads arcade, it's hilariously bloody. The way they should've always been, heh.

Definitely love the arcade game. I even have a lame video of me playing it through all the way.

Just wait until the Rat Race level (stage 10 or something?), my friend and I went fucking bonkers during that level and I haven't forgotten it since. One of the scariest levels ever.

Once you figure out the speeder bike level, it's cake. Beat it once and you'll pass it (pretty much) every time. It's the rat race level I could never figure out!

For what it's worth, there's a warp zone in the first level, right at the beginning. Ram the first two baddies as fast as you can, and then jump up on the ledge on the next screen--do it quick enough and you'll be warped past the speeder bike level altogether!

I think there's also an extra life code...and considering the difficulty of the game, is totally permissible!
