I just got confused between the title of the xbox360 compilation and the individual titles in the series. I got it about two weeks ago and am thoroughly enjoying it. Too bad fricken' gamestop didn't have the case.

Its a follow up to VP1? Where does it say that? I mean, same hardware, sure. Same company... of course, its the same company that made Raiden too.

I know the game features ships from both series, I always thought it was more of a fusion of the two. I would be interested to see where it says the RF series is a follow up to VP1

Best non-Cave shooters on the system imo. These games have a LOT of depth to them. Crazy sporadic medal chaining, tons of counter-intuitive hidden secrets, AND bullet grazing!?

Hmm, how cheap are they? The RFA port is pretty accurate, but nothing compares to playing on that cab.

I will play RF anyday though. The only shooters that can hold a candle to Cave/Raizing (IMO, of course)

Raiden 2 - $80-90
Raiden Fighters Jet - $100+

On the other hand, Viper Phase does around $200+.

I hear you - not necessarily after games that were ported well, but as my good buddy so eloquently put it, "dem scanlines".

That, and I just picked up a Raiden on the cheap-cheap.

Do you have an auto-fire thingy? Raiden is evil without auto-fire, even on the ps1 my hand would scream.

I do not - but yeah, i've heard that. Rancor sells em for a few bucks iirc.

This board will be here in a day or two - i'll be able to report after that.

Raiden DX is up there a bit as well - in the $200+ range.
