So any of you fishing freaks got lured into buying Sega Bass Fishing for xbox or psn?
It has 720p visuals and supports the move and has online leaderboards, or so google tells me

I´m interested in what the real fishermen think about it.
If it were SMF, I would have already gotten it

Don't forget that crazy training where you have to randomly catch the RIGHT fish. That is like wow.

I unlocked the special boat and I LOVE that the loading screens change to reflect it. Seriously genius.

I played it 3 years ago and completed the whole game. Compared to Reel Fishing II (best game in the series and my favorite fishing game besides SMF), this game feels rushed to me as there not that much variety in fishing tackle and locations. I can't believe they do not even have the aquarium found in the majority of Reel Fishing games! :x

Despite the negatives I found in the game, what I like about this game is that you can catch fish found in the Amazon River such as Peacock Bass, Piranha, Dorado, Red-tailed Catfish, and even the giant Pirarucu/Arapaima. :D

BTW, I sold it because the game got boring quickly. :|

You dont get to smell fresh air and relax in nature. I have been fishing many times in real life and I greatly enjoy both the excitement of reeling in a fish and the calmness of driving around slowly during a quiet summer day in some beautiful area or sitting on a frozen lake ice fishing, but I couldnt care less for video game fishing. Video game hunting sounds pretty pointless too, and from what I have seen, some hunting games are more like FPS games where you go around shoot endangered exotic animals instead of the usual Russians and muslims :?

Ill admit, I play Sega Bass Fishing and an old freeware DOS fishing game (with a boss mode) every once and a while since it is calming. Ive not fished in real life in many years - never did get around to getting my fishing license renewed, but was told that next spring, I am required to go fishing with my fiancees family.

When I was a kid I used to rent Black Bass and Blue Marlin for the NES pretty frequently. Playing them today I have no idea why I thought they so cool but I remember being really into it at the time, especially Blue Marlin.

What Cabela's video games want you to think hunting is like:

I like fishing, but cannot stand fishing games. I don't mind slow-paced games, but fishing games are ridiculous. My father on the other hand, who isn't a gamer, loves fishing games. His favorite is Reel Fishing for the PS1 (but he plays it on the PS3). So I guess there are people out there that can play fishing video games.
