I have the HSS-0136 Virtua Stick and love it. I have been meaning to get the Hori but they go for $80+

Just out of curiosity, fast, why do you like the Virtua Stick better? I've always heard that the Hori one bests it in build quality (specifically sturdiness and parts).

I personally play Saturn stick-centric games with a PS2 HRAP2 via a Tototek adapter. It works flawlessly and, to my mind, gives me the option to use a better stick than anything I could have bought that was actually made for the Saturn.

The Hori is a better stick but Ive found that the Virtua stick is better for me with shooters. The button layout is perfect for most of them and the stick is nice and smooth. That, and I love the color.

Like I said, Hori makes a better stick, but the Virtua stick is perfect for my needs, so I see no reason to upgrade. Well unless one of those 130s pops up for a decent price.

The Hori Fighting Stick SS arrived a couple of days ago and it's exactly what I was looking for. Very similar in size and weight to the Namco arcade I use on PS, and it has the same great microswitched style stick. Lovely piece of hardware!

Hey Spyke,

I am glad that you are enjoying your Hori Fighting Stick SS. I picked the same one up a few months ago. One great thing about this Hori is that the PCB has the solder points to easily duel mod the stick for use also on the playstation. Mine is currently taken apart because I am going to repurpose the PCB by wiring in Sanwa buttons and a seimitsu stick and a bamboo housing. I can keep you posted if you are interested in the project.

Here is an old thread on the dual mod: http://www.racketboy.com/forum/viewtopi ... =25&t=5305
