I started retro collecting quite recently so I have decided to not buy anything new unless its something that I absolutely want. I will first build up my retro collection and then try to catch up on modern games when the next generation comes and people start selling their current gen games for cheap. Im still a few game systems short. After I have purchased them, I will start buying must haves for different retro consoles. Once I am done with that, I will try to keep on with the times while buying retro games at the same. Or thats what I keep telling myself. In a few years I will keep telling myself that I will buy that PS4 as soon as I find a copy of Air Raid and have a complete NES library. After that I will move on to the 1990s stuff and by 2030s I might be able to move on to PS2 and Gamecube collecting :)
My WTB thread (Sega CD/Saturn games)
Also looking to buy: Ys III (TG-16 CD), Shadowrun (Genesis) Hori N64 mini pad and Slayer (3DO) in long box/just the long box

I'm stuck on a rim that intersects Japans 1999 and the United States 2012.

I've always felt that I was about 2 years behind as far as "new" releases use. Coincidentally, the same amount of time I lost to playing WoW.

Of course, I'm not doing a very good job of catching up, as I keep buying games before I'm finished with the ones have. Eh, not a terrible problem to have, I guess!

The only console I have from this generation is the Wii, which I bought last year, and I just started playing Smash Bros. Brawl. Before that I had been playing my Dreamcast almost exclusively. There are a ton of new games that I want, but I've got about a dozen DC and Wii games that I purchased and haven't really touched.
