Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Being a huge fan of horror, I've always wanted to try Sweet Home [supposedly the inspiration for Resident Evil].

It's horror, yes, but also has many action RPG elements.
If each mistake being made is a new one, then progress is being made.

This is a difficult choice and depends on what you want.

Do you want a full scale RPG experience? Then I would recommend FF1, because the first Zelda game lacks a bit of typical RPG elements, like visiting villages and talking to a lot of people.

Do you want a short, fun or easy adventure? Then I would recommend Zelda, as it is easier and shorter than FF1.

But if you want a challenge, you should play FF1.

my favorite rpg for the nes is final fantasy, probably because i grew up playing it. I also love startropics (this one is a little more zeldaish though). Crystalis is great as well.
I never made it past #1, but i hear Dragon Warrior 3 is pretty good too.

I think a lot of people played the first Dragon Warrior game and were immediately turned off to the series. The subsequent games are much better, with multiple characters and more involved story-lines. I still did like the first game though.
