Im way behind.

Its due to work, wife, kids and other hobbies etc.

It used to bother me as when I was way younger I used to like the feeling of playing new games and keeping up with the times, yet nowadays I dont really care.

Ive unfinished games on the Dreamcast, Gamecube, PS2, oXbox, GBA & DS. Yet in the meantime somebody gave me a 360 as a present, (lucky me, I know), and since then Ive been playing Dirt 2/3 and Forza 4 a lot, Im in love the 360 !

What is great though is the fact that when I go back to the SD consoles, it all looks good to me, ie the 360 hasnt runied me!

I don't think of it as being behind because it's impossible to play everything. I also don't feel like I'm rushing to keep up with the rate of releases. Sometimes I want to play a game when it's new just because it looks good and I'm caught up in the hype, but mostly I just play games as I play them without much regard for date-of-release.

I'm way behind when it comes to the home consoles. I own all three 7th gen systems, but I've only actually finished three Wii games, one PS3 game, and two Xbox 360 games. I have, however, sunk a lot of time into playing the DS and PSP mainly because there's so many "old school" games available for handhelds.

I find that I'm mostly stuck in the 16 bit era: SNES, Genesis, and PC Engine.

I'm so two thousand and late.

I have recent games, but I'd say as far as playing all the top 10'ers, I'm somewhere around 2005-2006.

Up until recently, I was a generation behind. I was loving the Dreamcast and Gamecube as my latest consoles up until 2011. Then I bought a PS2 and started exploring that.

As a generalisation, I was completely ignorant of the current generation (other than the Wii as my parents and my partner both own one). However, as some know already, I bought a PS3 a few weeks ago. I'm still exploring that though, so I'm still a tad behind.

I was thinking of picking up BioShock soon. It's only about $10 or less now. Uncharted II looks pretty sweet, too. I also heard there was a sequel to Fallout 3. I have played through God of War III. I think those are my newest games. So, where am I... 2008 or 2009 with my feet dabbling slightly in early 2010?

I tend to keep up. I think everyone has one or two generations where they absolutely keep up in gaming, and this one and the next I believe are the ones for me. When it comes to retro though, you could consider me behind.

Even though I began gaming when I was 3, I somewhat skipped the 7th generation gaming since I am more of a PROUD old school gamer. My first 7th generation console is PS3 and I bought it by the end of 2011. Also, due to school and the fact that I work out also made me stayed far behind the 7th generation gaming.
