I'm trying to beat Civilization in Inmortal difficulty. So far I have managed to get a science win on One City Challenge with Babylon, which isn't very hard when you play on an island map and only run one city, as long as you have some archers, nobody will attack you.

My attemps at it outside of islands have been terrible, I lost on turn 24, meaning I was declared war on turn 20. My last attemp was similar, I rushed for Astronomy, was doing great and killing a lot of Aztecs when the Greeks showed up with 20 horses and a lot of archers. I didn't have a chance =/

Doing better on shmups in general. Dragon Blaze is kicking my ass (over on our Shmup Of The Month thread)

Also trying to replicate the once amazing score I earned on arcade Confidential Mission (1cc, 2.5million SSS grade) over on the DC port.

Sent my spaceship to Alpha Centauri in 1812 (276 turns). Given how badly I messed up by taking a policy I shouldn't, I could have won at least 80 years before that. I also was unlucky, I had no coal and no aluminum and getting city states was impossible because Alexander was swimming in gold.

That said, the scoring system is simply not cool. In previous Civ titles, winning early was always better than waiting to get more techs. That's not the case here, winning early barely matters and if you don't capture half of the map, you won't even show up in the scoreboard. It's a real shame, specially since it's not weighted by difficulty =/

I do have it. I got it in the Welcome Back program, but strangely I don't think I've spent more than like 3 mins playing it.

I completely choked in my last run at one of the planet bosses where I had three lives and played completely out of control.
I haven't played that game to try and best that score in EONS - probably at least 2 years, if not more. Let me know if you get close, I'll have to give it another run
:D

You are one of only two guys on my friends list that have the game.

I have it. It's a pretty tough game, but I really enjoy it. The music is excellent. I got it when Sony was offering free games after the hacking incident. I don't play a lot of 2d shooters, so it's nice when I try one and am pleased with it

Trying to beat Punch Out, and I still can't get past Sandman. His triple death uppercut always seems to hit me at least once. The frustration factor of having to start the entire World Circuit over after three losses is really killing me, and I can't believe I have two more opponents even after this one.

There's always one guy that gives Punch Out players trouble. It doesn't matter which Punch Out game it is, Macho Man and Bald Bull always make me want to chuck a controller across the room. Even after having beaten Punch Out and Super Punch Out more than once, those guys still sometimes give me trouble

Add me to your friends list - my ID in my sig. I got Stardust for free after the PSN got hacked and played it for a bit then one night had a marathon session and just quit after that. I wasn't really that great at maintaining a high bomb count or multiplier but after about 3 hours of a single game I was done. That was also about a year ago.

Anyways - add me. I know I'm already on Dsh's friends list.

* I went to check my score and see I need to do a major update for this game. After it updates I'll post my score.

** Got my score:
