Game Back On!!!! IT WORKS!

Was missing a ground wire which caused a small set back, plus I've been hurt and haven't touched this in over a week. Screen and system all boot up just fine which also proves my cart relocation to be flawless! Now I can mount the system to the inside of the case and start wiring up the controller and the sound amp. Gotta review Hails guide a bit to make sure I don't over load the amp with power and I gotta figure out how to take the tact switches off the amp and wire them to the mounted ones! All in all, the hard part is over and I might be able to have this finished by the weekend, if not, definitely after!

For composite, I'm am actually quite impressed with the quality of this screen and it's color balance. Everything is clear and vibrant, even with the anti-glare screen.

We'll see if I can get this done for the weekend!

Looks great my only complaint is you need more sexy pics of it in action. As for the video quality that's because the model 3s came with the cxa1645 which is one of the better video encoders out there.

Ah! That would make sense then. Better picture but incapable of Stereo sound...interesting trade off it seems. But I suppose back in 98' things weren't quite as advanced as they are now when it comes to home sound systems.

Worry not though, I'll have pictures of the process and more action shots soon. The controller wasn't wired up yet so I couldn't actually do anything with it, so pics in action weren't possible to that point.

I'm hoping to have the controller wired up between tonight and tomorrow night. I'm a bit worried about the rocker switch though, I think when I push in one direction, it might be pushing the switch down on another. I'll test it before I permanently mount everything.

Looks great, good job! My thing that bothers me is the dpad - was there a particular reason you went with the PS-styled dpad?

Yup. It had the most clearance and flat surface spacing. I needed to have something precise because if I didn't have that, I would have been pushing more than one directional button at once as I am using tact switches to for the signal, not the actual PCB.
