Re: Street Fighter x Tekken
from Joystiq:
Capcom's Seth Killian told Shacknews that the 12 extra characters in the Vita edition of Street Fighter X Tekken would eventually arrive on consoles. We just have one question: DLC or Ultimate Edition release?
"We'll find a way to make sure that console fans are happy, as well," Killian noted at last night's launch party in Los Angeles. Sadly, he wouldn't go into specifics on when or how the additional dozen would be added to the console version. The 12 characters in question are Street Fighter's Elena, Guy, Cody, Sakura, Dudley and Blanka, and Tekken's Alisa, Christie, Jack, Brian, Lars and Lei.
Re: Street Fighter x Tekken
In this article they mention capcom screwing up button checks. I was just wondering if someone could explain what that means for me because I'm not figuring it out through googledsheinem wrote:So I read this and decided to cancel my preorder: http://shoryuken.com/2011/10/23/why-str ... urnaments/
I had decided to get it at launch essentially to play against you folks online, but if the gems system is essentially going to break online play, then I am going to wait for a price drop. The news that the Vita version will have extra characters also gives me pause...and maybe I'll wait to see the cost for the Vita version vs. the cost for PS3 + Vita character DLC when the Vita port launches. In any case, too many red flags for me for now...
Sorry.

This is my beef with Capcom at the moment! Ono first says, SFxT will be upgraded via DLC only, then he more recently says that upgrades will be offered in both DLC and in disc release, While capcom USA Christian Svensson or what ever his fuck'n name is has stated on the unity boards recently that there is no chance that a disc release with all DLC will be released! I fuck'n hate how people at capcom keep contradicting themselves and confuse their consumers...

Same.
Also, I thought there was going to be a way to disable gems!

from Kotaku:
The PlayStation 3 version of Street Fighter X Tekken will offer, free, the bonus fighters Pac-Man and Mega Man on March 13, a week after the game's release, Capcom says.

Re: Street Fighter x Tekken
They're talking about the button configuration being like Street Fighter IV's or KOF13's, where you're given a list of the buttons and have to press left and right to scroll through functions for them.flex wood wrote:In this article they mention capcom screwing up button checks. Sorry.
This certainly allows you to configure buttons, but it can be very slow compared to methods present in games like Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo: HD Remix, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, and Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike OE. Those games allow you to just hit a button per game function, so you can drum out the typical 6 button layout and get your buttons assigned very quickly. 3rd Strike is even better since you can assign your buttons on the character select screen (I think Blazblue might allow this, too).
This is extremely helpful on custom controllers that might not have the buttons labelled, or for someone who is using something like a PS2 to 360 adapter (where it may not always be clear what the button layout should be). Some sticks like the Hori EX SE, even though they have buttons labelled for 360, have unique layouts that can take some time to configure if there isn't an easy method of button configuration like the ones I listed above.
I hope that cleared it up some. To be brief, it's like keyboard binding in PC games (where you just hit the key you want for a function) versus having a button listed and then assigning a game function to it. So it doesn't completely ruin button checks (where people verify their buttons are assigned properly), but it does make the button configuration process a lot slower.

LOL! Not only has the the retail disc for SFxT been hacked for all endings for DLC characters, But it appears that the even some of the actual characters themselves have been unlocked!
I wonder how the F@ck Capcom and Mr. Ono will respond to this considering they assured everyone that the characters were not on the disc
