In the SMS version the light is less than a quarter of the screen. I dunno about DS or PSP.

Anyhow, I didn't know what the mask did until now. I guess I have to go find something back in the first tower? Maybe in the mine too? I might just use a guide for the doors if they're really as annoying as you say, Nemoide.

I like the art and the graphics they put on this. The sounds effects and music are top notch too. Looks and plays very nice on the PSP.
Haha, just like myself the very first half hour I was very undecided if I liked the game or not based off the action.Thankfully I gave it a chance and it grew on me (once I learned the battle system).I think for most players imtimidated by this should know, grinding is a big part to fighting tough enemies and your health restores on field if you stand still.

This game is a a great starter RPG,the hard stuff just makes you think a little thats all

I love the new PSP music, very well mastered!

I tried the DS one but I got bored in the first town. I played a lot before bed, so that's probably why. I think I sold it because I have no idea what happened to that game.

Might pick up the PSP one if I find a decent price.

found myself horribly lost in the mines, so searched for a map. Found something amazing:

Never heard of vnotesonline, but they basically wrote their own strategy guide. And I mean wrote it. It's all handwritten with hand drawn maps. It feels so old school game magazine style. I normally don't like FAQ's or whatever, but this is so charming I had to share it.

I found that too, but the maps are useless for me because of the master system differences :(

Anyway, after a long search I made it to the bottom of the mines and came head-to-head with the bat boss. AAAAANNNNDDD....nope, I cant do any damage to him. Am I just doing it wrong, or do I really have to be level 10 to harm him? I'm level 9 armed with the silver sword and the pwoer ring, and yet I still do no damage when I hit his head.

When I beat him I had all silver everything and was maxed out (lvl 10). He still took about 12-15 hits.

The battle system is very strange; I've never encountered anything like it. Running into enemies to fight, hilarious. I've spent about 2 hrs., and have enjoyed it very much.
I felt like a dumbass when I went to talk to Sara after getting the starter equipment, and wondered why she kept telling me to purchase the sword, shield, and armor. I never equipped them. I got to Lv. 4 before I even used any of them. What a doofus.
