PS2 Kim Possible Whats The Switch

Don’t write this one off just because it’s based on a Disney kids TV series. Every so often a Disney-licensed game manages to surprise us with solid gameplay. If you are a fan of 16-bit platformers, this Kim Possible installment should impress you with its two-dimensional gamplay coated and cartoony 3D graphics. The difficulty level isn’t too high since its aimed for kids, but there is a challenge in trying to unlock everything.

I already have the GBA version, which is a great platform game. On the PS2 version, I get the impressions of the animation in Alien Hominid and a very precise control of Mario gameplay with Earthworm Jim way cool gadgets. Ignore the cutsey Disney cut scenes and enjoy a really great platformer with very tight controls. When you press jump, you jump very well. When you fall, you did it.

Re: Name your favourite Disney Video Game.
Yay, another thread where people list games!
I will say that Aladdin and The Lion King are not only great games, but they allow you to actually play out scenes in the movie, which is something most movie based games don't get right. Movie games aside, the entire Duck Tales library is incredible.
The Kingdom Hearts series is a mixed bag for me as it's more Disney based than a Disney game, if that makes sense. Kind of like how a movie is "based off of events that happened in 'x' ".

That's really all you need to know.
A neat little game, but it's not the Disney version of HerculesTEKTORO wrote:I cant argue with any of the games mentioned so far, pure awesomeness.
I'll soon find out if Hercs Adventure belongs here

CRT's post reminds me of these two.

Tight controls and great level design make both of these games, but particularly the third, platforming joy. The third one there is also the only game that lets you play as Ron ('bout time) but it also comes with a cool gimmick, letting you switch between both Kim and Ron on the fly in the levels as they each proceed.

100% agree. That game is beautiful on all accounts.Anapan wrote:The Lion King. The pixel art and animation are amazing, the gameplay is varied and extremely challenging without being too unfair and the music is well tracked. ...
My honorable mentions go to Pocahontas and Mickey Mania.

I would have to go with Aladdin on the Genesis, as many others have.

Wow
I'm surprised no one mentioned castle of illusion starring mickey mouse. I was so amazed when I saw that game for the first time. For me I just love aladdin on the genesis. After that maybe ducktales for the nes.
Re: Name your favourite Disney Video Game.
Meh on lion king. The graphics are great and it starts off promising but it falls apart with the brutal difficulty, and once he becomes adult simba there's a lot of bland clawing at things.
And as far as the capcom + Disney = quality formula. . .well:

My favorite is probably circus mystery and the similar one on snes.....Mickey mania is impressive but I haven't played it in a long time. Toy story is pretty good too...
Has anyone played the latest Mickey platformer for wii?
