Thanks for all the post - they were all fantastic.
Loved video of MM2-Marble Man. Had never seen it before.......Now IF you can find me the MAME ROM?

Not had a chance to check all the links on post 3 - But I WILL - Thanks again :D

PS. I knew about the 99sec time cheat on arcade machines - I guess we'll have to trust ppl not to use it/post scores

Not sure what system that music is from, NES? It's not the Arcade.

Pretty good tho 8)
I might give the NES version of MM a blast, just to see if the music matches up.

I recently finished Crash Bandicoot 2: N-Tranced on the GBA (a nice platformer) and it has 3 levels that are Marble Madness inspired. They sucked :P The other 2 non-platforming styles they threw in for variety are decent (followed from the 2 styles they had in GBA Crash 1), but these "Atlas sphere" levels are really annoying to control with the D-pad and very hard for time trial. I hope I can get Marble Madness working with the mouse on MAME.

I remember not getting very far on this when I had it for NES. Now I'm older and emulating the genny version and guess what... this game is still hard as funk!

Anyone satisfied with any non-trackball controllers? It seems like I do better with an analog stick overall, although some angles I am better with the d-pad.

I tried playing with a mouse but it doesn't really work. I can't justify spending 20 or 30 bucks on a trackball for this though...

Anyone knows of software that can flip the vertical or horizontal axis of the mouse? That way I could try non-optical mouse on it's back as a trackball.

I 'think' you can reverse the axis of controllers on MAME. I know you can defo flip the vert axis (I do it for playing original Star Wars arcade) - & you 'may' be able to flip horizontal as well - not 100% sure though.
