Very nice man. I bought my wife a wedding ring/engagement ring combo, because I couldn't afford one at the time of our marriage. She had the same look on her face though

I'm always one to play a video game in a new way so I bought my wife a Trakball for her mouse controlled Zuma game. She hated it.
Can't afford the debt of buying her a new car so picking up Steak and Lobster to cook at home. Beats the crowds at the restaurant, Surf and Turf!

That's a pretty rad gift, though. The great thing is she can enjoy it every day for years!

Hope your wife gets a lot of use out of her new car for many years.
I made a red velvet cake for my girls and will also be making a special dinner.

Nice move.
I on the other hand, forgot it was Valentines day. My girlfriend has assured me that it is alright and that she knew I would (I was traveling and got in last night late), but it still makes me feel terrible. Sadly I cant make anything better since this weekend we are traveling to Ruskin FL to clean out her grandparents house because they are in the final steps of selling it. I am planning on giving her an engagement ring later this year, but for now she will get this fancy dress that I found that she will love.

Might as well make this THE VALENTINE'S DAY THREAD.
So, what does everyone have planned?
Here's what's going on over at Luke Manor:
Bought my wife two dozen roses, and on the cheap thanks to Fresh Market.
Made a homemade card; I'm not paying $4.00 for a piece of card stock, and I haven't met a woman yet who doesn't like a personal touch.
Moved my shoe closet into another room so my wife has basically the entire walk in master closet to herself. Also cleaned and rearranged her closet; this will probably be her favorite "gift".
Cleaned the house from the floors to the ceilings. Inside the fridge, microwave, cleaned floorboards, the whole 9 yards.
Cooking manacotti tonight at her request, with artichokes on the side. Chocolate dipped strawberries for dessert . I have a 1997 Chianti Classico to go with dinner, and a bottle of Imperial Champagne to go with dessert. I've had the Chianti for what seems like forever, and although I doubt it's value has increased much, but there is always something special about opening a bottle of wine that you've been holding onto for years.
Having a NO TV night. It'll be just music, the fireplace, and after, well you know, I think she'll crack and want to watch a movie.
I had planned on purchasing a new dining room table today, but to no avail. That would have been a gift my wife would have gone crazy over, but you don't settle on a furniture purchase.
I think that's all for me. Yeah, I did do the corny thing and get roses, but dear God am I glad I'm not going out to eat tonight.

I'm going to just ignore my wife and play video games tonight. But I bought a dining room table, so she won't mind.

Maybe I just should have settled on that dining room table.
