Life is good. Bought my wife her best Valentine's gift ever!

Post by corn619 »

Well I wasn't able to get a pic of my wife's holy shit face, but I bought my wife a brand new Jeep Compass Latitude 4X4 today as a Valentines gift. I have to say she was a little confused with me rolling up in it, but when she realized why I was rolling up in it, her face was priceless. It made my empty wallet cry a little less lol. I was never much of a Compass fan, but they really made some really significant and much needed changes for the 2011.

My situation was, I knew she wanted something nice looking, small, safe, car like, 4X4, comfortable, well optioned and not crazy expensive. The Compass was all of those and the customer service I received at the dealer was not short of spectacular. Good customer service is really huge with me, I won't do business with someone that sucks in this dept no matter how good the price is.

I have to say, I test drove a used 2010 also. The 2011 really feels like a totally different and better vehicle all around though. I did a little off roading in it too and the little 4X4 can handle itself really good for a smaller SUV. Here's some pics of it at the dealer and next to my FJ in our driveway.

I'm half kidding, half being honest:

You do realize you just screwed yourself right? Every gift you buy her from here on out will be compared to the jeep, and she'll expect every gift to keep getting better and better. That's why on my first Valentine's Day with my wife I gave her a box of frozen waffles. Every year the gift gets better and better.

In all honesty:

That advice is for kids and teens, and it is pretty solid advice (but don't get anyone frozen waffles). I'm sure in this case gifts are only gifts and materialism is not a factor whatsoever.

Good on ya!
