Yet another eBay question: This time buyer is pushing it

Not exactly - it would take 6 hours for me to drive to Edinburgh and cost £140 for the whole round trip. Our roads have bends and the petrol costs an arma and a leg

That's awesome.Hobie-wan wrote:In the late 90s I knew someone that had a vintage 1986 breadbox Mac functioning as an internet gateway in a closet.MrPopo wrote:You'd be surprised what people still have running.Zing wrote:Great. This dork is making Mac users look dumb. Word documents open in quick look, preview, and textedit. Unless he literally means he only has a "Mac" as in a Macintosh from 1990.

I worked at Staples back in 2009/2010. This one guy came in for "PC tune up" because his computer was "running slow". I push the on button... Windows 98.

I'm not sure what that has to do with "running slow." Yes, it's a 13-14 year old OS, but as long as the computer specs are good enough to run it, the computer can be cleaned out and optimized to run Win98 just fine.BoneSnapDeez wrote:I worked at Staples back in 2009/2010. Still amusing that someone with such an outdated computer/OS would bring it in to stables for a tune up.

If the PC has Win98 on it, it probably has a 12 year old HDD in it as well
