Neo Turf Masters (NGPC)
NES Open Tournament Golf (NES)
And even though timewarpgamer already said this, I've gotta get this golf-theme rolling: Kirby's Dreamcourse (SNES)
My scheduling skills have died of dysentery; I hope to visit at least on a monthly basis.
Still, don't forget to tip your waitress.

It's taken forever and an age, but I finally wrapped up my Top 10 Sports List. As with all the Top 10s, I'm sure it will change and develop over time, but for now you can find the current iteration here:

Thanks for all your comments.

Not only have they aged well, but they've aged much better than most recent sports games.

Think about it, Bases Loaded and Tecmo Super Bowl are still classics, but can you find anyone who gives a crap about Madden '09?

THANK YOU. That is PRECISELY the point I tried to drive home with this top 10. I think that attempting to deliver ultra-realistic content in sports games does little other than guarantee that you'll be obsolete and forgotten in a year.

And isn't one of the greatest things about video games that you can transcend reality?

^ There are too many to name.

I played two hours of Dusty Diamond's All-Star softball on Sunday with my BIL.

I recently bought a NHL '94 repro Genesis cart with the NHL '12 rom and have a playoff run going with the Flyers.

This is one of my mission statements for my site and a big reason why I'm more interested in creative iOS titles and DLC-only experiments for sports games than the latest FIFA.

Very cool. I knew about all the Tecmo Bowl hacks for recent players, but didn't realize the same applied for NHL '94. Pretty awesome. Where did you buy the repo cart?

I was just tweeting about this one tonight. Is Street Challenge a "sports" game? It struggles to find a genre on lists i've seen (like sports->alternative->other , gee thanks)

Ice Challenge and Hit the Ice! are two JP only NES games I'd like to eventually get a repro of.

The rom is from www.pixelpuck.com and I got the cart from a guy on the nhl94.com forums.

There's a thread in the general questions & discussions forum. I actually found a glitch in the rom tonight after missing a penalty shot, trying to get corrected. The guy is GREAT though - really good service. Was $25 + a couple bucks for shipping. He supplied the NHL '94 cart too.
