Gran Turismo 5 is pretty great. A lot has changed since launch.

Also, in terms of simulation. iRacing 2.0 beats the crap out of both of them. While GT and Forza try to find a good middle ground between simulation and fun, iRacing just does away with that concept and is simulation all the way. It doesn't even appear to support any control method BUT a wheel. I've been dying to try it out, especially since all the autocross events I'd normally go too die out in the cold winter and wont be returning until April or May.

While everybody has different tastes in gaming, I'd say this is a massive pile of bullshit. Name me one other "great" RPG the 360 had before Mass Effect.

off the top of my head
Tales of Vesperia
Lost Odyssey
Blue Dragon
Fable 2
Warhammer online: Age of Reckoning
and when did I mention anything before Mass Effect? Thanks for commenting though, had completely forgot about Tales of Vesperia

plus all the other exclusives

Ryse
Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation
Alan Wake
America's Army: True Soldiers
Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts
Beautiful Katamari
Bomberman: Act Zero
Bullet Witch
Codename D
Crackdown 1,2
Dance Central 1,2
Dead or Alive 4
Dead Rising
DeathSmiles II
Earth Defense Force 2017
Forza 2,3,4
Fuzion Frenzy 2
Guilty Gear 2: Overture
Halo Wars
Infinite Undiscovery
Kameo: Elements of Power
Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom
MorphX
Naruto
Ninty-Nine-nights
Otomedius
Perfect Dark: Zero
Raiden IV
Saints Row
Viva Pinata

That is leaving out about a good half or more of the exclusives though.

360 has surprisingly good RPG support, but the PS3 library blows it out of the water and then some. Even the Wii has a better RPG library.

edit: Also, Blue Dragon is the only 360 exclusive on your RPG list.

The RPG's I listed by themselves were just one released around the same time as Mass Effect, there were even more I left out. Such as

Catherine
Alpha protocal
Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures
Divinity II: Ego Draconis(one of the few PRG's where you can change into a Dragon)
Fable III
Elder Scrolls V
Elder Scrolls IV
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
Risen
Risen 2
Spectral force 3
The Last Remnant
Zoids Assualt

Though all three have good RPg's library's because most rpg's are multiple release these days

Also some of the other RPG's were listed with the rest of the exclusives I listed.

What about Lost Odyssey and Fable 2? What do you guys think of Tales of Vesperia?

Look, I get you love the 360 Atarifan. But acting like MGS4 was the only good game on the PS3 was MGS4 for years is so blatantly... well dumb! You don't seem to be accepting the merits of both consoles. You seem to be going "fanboy" all over this. For the record I'm not trying to be a PS3 fanboy. A 360 is worth owning just for the SHMUPS in my opinion. I've almost bought one a few times because of that.

Ryse
Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation
Alan Wake
America's Army: True Soldiers
Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts
Beautiful Katamari
Bomberman: Act Zero
Bullet Witch
Codename D
Crackdown 1,2
Dance Central 1,2
Dead or Alive 4
Dead Rising
DeathSmiles II
Earth Defense Force 2017
Forza 2,3,4
Fuzion Frenzy 2
Guilty Gear 2: Overture
Halo Wars
Infinite Undiscovery
Kameo: Elements of Power
Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom
MorphX
Naruto
Ninty-Nine-nights
Otomedius
Perfect Dark: Zero
Raiden IV
Saints Row
Viva Pinata

I hate to pull out numbers but many of the exclusives weren't rated very high on Metacritic, and a lot of those aren't franchise exclusives and have better sequels on both platforms. Saints Row 2 and 3 are multiplatform, as is Deadrising 2, and the other Saints Row games. PS3 has Katamari Forever.

It's pretty widely known that the PS3 simply has more to offer in exclusive content.

Catherine
Alpha protocal
Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures
Divinity II: Ego Draconis(one of the few PRG's where you can change into a Dragon)
Fable III

Elder Scrolls IV
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
Risen
Risen 2
Spectral force 3
The Last Remnant
Zoids Assualt

Not a single one of those are exclusive. They're all available on PC or PS3 as well, and FWIW most of those were critically panned.

It was awesome, but that brings up another 360 vs PS3 RPG point. A good handful of the 360 RPGs have ended up on PS3, often as enhanced ports (Tales of Vesperia, Enchanted Arms, Star Ocean 4).

Don't get me wrong, I can respect the 360 for it's RPG support. I bought one for Lost Odyssey alone and have recently been enjoying the console's shmup conversions. It's a solid console, but it's definitely not the go-to console for RPGs.

I understand that they both have there merits. I am just counteracting the people who have said the Xbox 360 does not have that many exclusives worth own. I was going by how things were the first few years as I bought it about a year after it came out. For the first few years with the lack of exclusives for the PS3 and the high price it just was not worth it and I still feel that way, just from my personal experience. Now the systems are pretty close in sales but I still personally feel the 360 is better based on the price. Plus the whole Sony Network thing. Also as for the PC thing the reason most people buy a console is because they can't or are not willing to spend 900 dollars on a computer, so for those people the ones that were released on PC and the xbox 360 it is a exclusive to them.
EDIT:At least Metal Gear solid is coming to Xbox 360

historically they have come out on the Xbox 360 first though, sometimes a few years before the PS3 port. I mean if you just look at the two right now there is not much difference but a few years ago there was. I am personally still pissed off by the fact Sony thought 699 was a fair price for any console.

EDIT: Do you guys think it is worth giving up the special edition of Mass Effect 3, and getting the normal version along with getting Tales of Vesperia. After looking into it more I wish I could still buy it new form the publisher. It looks like a really good game that the developers deserve to get all they can for there hard work.

Also how do you control your characters, is it turned based or can you control each one at a time.

It was $599. Also, that extra hardware oomph they put into the PS3 is starting to become apparent.

Either way the consoles are 7 years old and look muddy and shitty anyway.

Also your remark about the cost of a PC is a bit flawed. Yes a decent gaming PC costs from about 700 and up. However, your PC likely fills a much larger roll in life than a console does. Paying that much for a console is absurd since it's primary function is to play games. A PC on the other hand does so much more.

I'm still pretty mad at Ace Combat 6 not getting a PS3 port. Huge AC fan, and I was expecting it to be a PS exclusive. Like the last half-dozen in the series >_>.
