Re: Sonic Generations
I'll buy it in about a week. I almost bought the PS3 version but I have to keep telling myself to wait until I get my gaming PC (in a week or so) so I can play it in glorious 1920x1080... provided the ATi issues I've heard about have disappeared.

Re: Sonic Generations
Order this game for PS3. It should be here in a week. I haven't bought a Sonic game since 2007/8 when I was greatly disappointed by Sonic and the Secret Rings and Sonic Rush Adventure (and since those were considered to be "good" sonic games, I couldn't imagine how bad the other games that came out after them were), but all the positive words about this (and the cheap price) made me buy it.
I tried the demo, it was fun, but if all stages are just running and no thinking I don't think I'll love it as much as the earlier Sonic games. But at least it looks promising

Re: Sonic Generations
I play the 2d levels like sonic CD taking time to enjoy the platforming and only use speed when it befits me. The 3d levels are all about speed, like Secret Rings was.ZeroAX wrote:Order this game for PS3. It should be here in a week. I have never really liked the newer games but the design of the game balances them out.

Re: Sonic Generations
Beating the levels takes no thinking, but speedrunning them takes a fair amount of skill to find and take the alternate routes. Also, S&TSR is *not* widely considered to be very good.ZeroAX wrote:Order this game for PS3. It should be here in a week. It had some very favorable reviews at the time. And after the "disappointment" that was Sonic Heroes (omg, did that game seem a lot better after I played all the current gen sonic games), I was hoping with the inclusion of only Sonic as a playable character that they were going back to basics (cause imo the Sonic and Shadow stages of Sonic Adventure 2 were AMAZING, bar the last one which was all grinding and less platforming....oh well, lost potential never recovered (the Sonic Generationd 3D level on the demo was just running, more Sonic and the Secret Rings and less SA2....if only Sonic Team wasn't run my morons....)

Re: Sonic Generations
That's two of the 10 stages for them, IIRC. A pretty big dud compared to the 18 amazing acts of Generations. Also, the reviews for it were pretty awful for S&TSR.ZeroAX wrote: It had some very favorable reviews at the time. Re: Sonic Generations
I think they had more than 10 stages combined. But yeah those final 2 were kind of bad.....and annoying.GameMasterGuy wrote: That's two of the 10 stages for them, IIRC. A pretty big dud compared to the 18 amazing acts of Generations. Also, the reviews for it were pretty awful for S&TSR.

Re: Sonic Generations
Shadow only had four, Sonic had six. Each of the others had five stages. There aren't counting Cannon's Core, if they were, Shadow would still only have four, but Sonic would have seven, and each of the others would have six.ZeroAX wrote:I think they had more than 10 stages combined. So? That means that those two got worse.
