Took a few evenings off on it -- will probably be doing Dungeon 8 tonight. Didn't want to finish it too fast

Haha, I'm kinda the opposite, I felt like I should get a move on seeing as how everyone was so far, or I'd miss all the discussion. Seems I already did though.

Still, I also wanted to get this one finished (although I'm not rushing it, I'm personally really enjoying the game) so I can play Ax Battler this month too. I know it's going to be bad, but I figure I can at least beat it so I never have to play it again

Thats one way to look at a bad game.
I don't think I'm even going to give that game a chance. Keep us posted if you do play it.

Dungeon 8 complete! If you could call it that! Something like 10 screens and 8 of them were like teleport squares and 1 had an item and 1 a boss

BUT.....
WHY DID WE HAVE TO GET SUCH A USEFUL ITEM IN DUNGEON **8**? Unless I encounter every door locked here on in
Nearing the end!

Eh...I haven't had time to play in a few days. Still haven't reached dungeon 3 yet. Still gotta do some exploring and find it...I"ll probably look for it tonight.

Doesn't seem to work on the Everdrive GG. Guess I'm sitting this one out.

Finished Dungeon 9. Death Adder (the first?) was ridiculously easy in the doorway (I know, but I had no magic!)

Got the Fire magic upgrade, and ready to take on the long and difficult final dungeon, hopefully tonight.

Aaaaaaannnnd.....Done.

I just took down the final boss, and I got everything before I beat the game too. I actually really enjoyed this game, and I though it was a much better game than the original Zelda, which I found to be OK, but a little stiff, and very obscure in some parts. GAW was also a little obscure here and there, but never to the level Zelda was imo, and things like the axe and earth magic spell (plus ice bell) made for much nicer secret searching than slowly burnign one tree at a time or constantly running out of fairly rare, quite pricy bombs in Zelda.

I noticed a lot of people complaining about the controls, and I can sort of see where you're coming from, but I din't think they were that bad. Were you all playing on Xbox or PS3? Maybe it doesnt feel so bad for me because I'm on an actual Master System pad?

Anyhow, a great start to the together retro year imo, hope they all turn out to be this enjoyable.
