Ok, so I tried again tonight and after deciding to run through rooms that fighting wasn't necessarily I also beat the game:

I was impressed on the number of magic pots dropped by the enemies right before the final boss so that I could use water magic to restore my life even though I didn't need it since I used the "stay in the doorway" strategy to beat Death Adder.

So I finallhy got around to redoing Dungeon 1 again, then went wandering around the coast and found me lots of money, gambling rooms etc. I bought a Knight shield, magic oil and magic feather (are these important?), found an extra heart container and made my way to dungeon 2 and beat that too. I'm about to go wandering for dungeon 3, but I was wandering if there's anything I should be looking for before I go in?

if memory serves, you should be all set. You'll need some Earth magic before D4 though.

EDIT: though I think Thunder will make killing boss 3 much easier...

I already had thunder before D2, no need to worry about that. Just beat D3. The enemies walking around outside the dungeon were wayt harder than the ones inside.

Just beat dungeon 4, think that'll do me for today. I found the long sword and the earth spell, and I obtained the canoe from the dungeon. I'll go searching for dungeon 5 tomorrow. Anything I should get before then?

I think you're good until D6 where you'll need to upgrade the Earth spell first. Oh, and do you have the pink armor yet?

Nope. Any idea where I need to look for it? I'm using that map, but I'm not looking at the stuff at the bottom. It's for navigation, not for finding hidden stuff ^_^

I hate to double post (again) but I figured since Ive been playing more, I should update my progress.

Just finished dungeon 6 (which was fairly hard like people said, but nothing crazy), I've just ran out of keys for the first time since about dungeon 3, since Ive been carrying spares around most of the time (from dungeons, I haven't bought even one). I got the plate mail, and I upgraded the thunder and earth spells (need earth spell 2 for dungeon 5 i think). The worst part of the game for me at the moment is how quite a few dungeons seem to be forcing me to use earth magic lately, but i keep running out, and there's no way to replenish my magic. It really sucks. I don't even think theres a magic replenishing item I can buy?

Seems I'm going to have to triple post, I guess the only people playing have all finished :?

Anyhow, beat dungeon 8. The last two dungeons have been fairly easy, I didn't die in either of them. I died plenty in dungeon 6

I got me a Flame sword, fire magic, dragon mail and a dragon shield. I also have all but 1 magic pot and all but 1 heart. Guess it's time for the final stretch! I hear dungeon 9 and 10 are pretty hard?

I think 6 and 7 were the hardest. I didn't find 9 all that hard honestly. And really, it's not tha 10 is especially hard. It's just really large and confusing.
